Laura’s Law Revision
The California Psychiatric Association (CPA) shall explore legislative and/or budgetary options to make Laura’s Law easier for counties to implement in order to provide a community based treatment option for patients who would benefit from more structure in the community. Such patients have demonstrated a history of noncompliance with assertive community based treatment such that they continue to be repeatedly arrested and incarcerated, repeatedly hospitalized, and/or continue to be homeless or at risk to be a danger to themselves as demonstrated by their history.
